Earlier this summer I spotted celeb style star Diane Kruger carrying a studded, bohemian-chic cross body bag as she headed out of BUILD series in NYC. The bag was different from many celeb favorites of late, and though I could tell the leather was great quality and the bag appeared to be beautifully crafted, I couldn’t immediately identify it. With a bit of digging I was able to positively ID the bag as the Isabel Marant Nasko Bag. Though the bag wasn’t particularly my style as the oversized studs were a tad bit too bohemian, there were a lot of elements that I liked about it and I wondered what else the brand had to offer. I tabled the idea of owning an Isabel Marant bag, and truth be told I forgot all about Isabel Marant in general until one of the designer’s coats landed on my fall wishlist. When I began to dig deeper into Isabel Marant handbags I soon discovered that the bag came in other versions that I could genuinely see myself wearing. Additionally I found some other covetable Isabel Marant Bags as well.
After studying design, now iconic, Parisian designer Isabel Marant founded her namesake label in 1994. Founded on French design principals, her designs ooze Parisian culture with a romantic, bohemian vibe. A favorite of fashion editors and insiders, Marant is known for chunky knitwear, romantic dresses, flowy skirts and her famous wedge sneakers. The perfect finishing touch to the carefully curated Marant aesthetic, her handbag designs posses a casual, boho feel with a chic finish.
From slouchy leather totes and crossbody bags to studded belt bags and fringed bucket bags, the average price for a Marant design is around $800. The price point alone makes these contemporary designs a solid, affordable option. Most of the bags posses a youthful feel and are a refreshing choice for those looking to branch away from overly branded logo pieces. My favorite bag is very similar to the design we spotted on the shoulder of Diane Kruger, called the Oskan New Hobo Bag, I love the overall shape of this design. And while the large studs were too much for me, I don’t mind the tiny gold studded outline. The black versus the brown feels a bit more chic and less bohemian, fitting perfectly into my current wardrobe. Other notable designs from the brand are below.
