Mini Review: Louis Vuitton Watercolor Aquarelle Speedy 35

Bag 1 of #stayhomewithbags

I’m taking this time at dwelling to not only retain myself and my family members protected, but also to rethink factors about the residence. As my job focuses on designer bags, I of course have amassed a relatively sizable collection more than the years. In an work to “shop my closet” and rediscover bags that I personal from years previous, I’ll be sharing 1 bag a day from my personal collection.

I’m kicking off this series with my Louis Vuitton Watercolor Aquarelle Speedy 35. I purchased this bag in 2008 just after putting myself on the waitlist and questioning if my bag dreams would be answered. I bear in mind the excitement I shared with other people on our forums, wishing and hoping for this bag to be mine. I got the get in touch with that 1 arrived for me although I was on a trip to Spain, but Vlad was nonetheless in Florida and popped down to the Louis Vuitton Bal Harbour boutique to choose up this beauty. It was my initially restricted edition bag, and although it is a bag I do not use generally, I cannot visualize parting with.

This bag brings me excellent happiness, reminds me of my early days blogging and is aesthetically 1 of the prettiest bags I personal. Its classic Speedy shape options white canvas with the LV watercolor monogram on leading. The size 35 Speedy loses its shape very easily, but there are bag shapers if you are inclined (which I’ve been which means to acquire and use myself). Simply because of the light components, I be concerned about colour transfer so this bag has additional life on the shelf than other people in my collection.

This bag was aspect of a collaboration with Richard Prince and was very coveted at the time. You can obtain 1 on a resale web site, even though I do not see a lot of listed at the moment. Verify Fashionphile if interested!
