As far as collaborations go, this one’s gone to the cats and dogs (but not in a negative way, in a great way!) No really—if you enjoy cats, dogs and Louis Vuitton, this collaboration may well be just what you are hunting for. Moreover, if you are familiar with Grace Coddington, who is the former inventive director at substantial of American Vogue magazine, and creator of some of the most impactful and dramatic photoshoots than you will definitely enjoy this collaboration. Coddington not too long ago introduced a new series in which she interviews celebs, aptly named Face to Grace. In this six element series she interviews Nicolas Ghesquière and it ought to come as no important surprise but a delight to see that for Louis Vuitton’s Cruise 2019 Collection the pair collaborated on a collection, Louis Vuitton x Grace Coddington, showcasing Grace’s Persian cats, Pumpkin and Blanket, alongside Nicolas’s dog, Leon.
The animals adorned on every single item in this capsule collection have been drawn by Grace and they’re an ode to Grace’s iconic style, ideal down to her red hair, which is depicted by orange monograms. As for the merchandise, bags, compact leather goods, footwear, and RTW are all incorporated with specific touches from Grace Coddington. I definitely like this collaboration and I’m not a cat particular person. I’m allergic, so I’m naturally sort of turned off by cats simply because they bring on my asthma. But these things are whimsical and enjoyable, and I could conveniently see them becoming each conversational and collector’s pieces.
