Every quarter, Lyst releases a report which analyzes the online shopping habits of shoppers. This report, called the Lyst Index, takes into account Google searches, sales, as well as other data such as brand and product social media call outs plus engagement stats worldwide. Being that the report is issued quarterly it takes into account data from a three month period.
Lyst’s 4th quarter 2018 report was just released, and unsurprisingly, Gucci came out on top. In the last 3 months of 2018, more than 6 million shoppers searched for a Gucci product online—bags, shoes, belts, you name it, consumers craved it. In Q3, Off-White held the top spot, while Balenciaga remained #3 in both Q3 and Q4.
Other notable mentions include Fendi, which jumped from #9 in Q3 to #5 in Q4. This jump in popularity comes on the heels of the release of Fendi Mania, proving that the logo love trend remains strong. Additionally, Burberry jumped into the top 10 (from #14), potentially proving that Riccardo Tisci’s new marketing technique, Burberry ‘B Series‘ is seeing success.
Product wise, Gucci also took the top spots as most popular, with Gucci’s ever-popular SoHo Disco bag coming in at #1 and Gucci’s logo belt, #2.
